DEMONS OF COWARDINESS GOD CAN NOT USE A COWARD WHO IS AFRAID TO TESTIFY OF HIS HEALING God don't want cowards. God wants men that's brave. He can't use a coward that's a run-down and afraid to testify your of your healing, or tell your neighbors, your boss what God has done for you, or give praise to Christ, ashamed to speak up in the hour when the trial comes, and you're afraid to say that you're a Christian. God can't use you. I doubt the devil…?… such as that. That's right. You're not much good for anything then.
57-0125 - Hear Ye Him
Rev. William Marrion Branham COWARD, YOU ARE AFRAID TO CLAIM GOD'S PROMISES FOR YOURSELF, YOU ARE AFRAID GOD WILL NOT KEEP HIS PROMISES 40 When a believer comes like that, God gives him a checkbook for any redemptive blessing He died for, and Jesus' Name is signed at the bottom of it. Are you afraid to fill it out? If you're afraid to fill it out, you're a coward. You never have come in contact with God. But you once get in contact with God, and the Holy Spirit make Christ real to your heart, you're not afraid to take God at His Word any time or believe, 'cause you've been in contact with the supernatural. You've come back into fellowship; you've come back in reconciliation through the Blood, and believe God, and know you—you've been in His Divine Presence.
56-0120 - Fellowship With God Through Reconciliation
Rev. William Marrion Branham
55 God doesn't have no use for a coward. If you're afraid to trust Him, don't even make an effort. Until you're satisfied that He keeps His Word and He keeps His promise, then there's nothing going to stop you. That's right. But be sure you know where you're standing, because you'll only make yourself worse.
61-0521 - Show Us The Father
Rev. William Marrion Branham A COWARD RUN FROM GOD'S PRESENCE WHEN HE SINNED, A SINNER RUN WHEN NO ONE IS PURSUING HIM 23 You never sought God, though you thought you did. But the Bible claims that you didn't. No man seeks God. His nature from the garden of Eden proves that he's a coward and runs when he sins. It wasn't Adam calling God; it was God calling Adam.
57-0114 - The Infallible Proof Of The Resurrection
Rev. William Marrion Branham 24 So He called a conference with Moses. And He selected a place, a burning bush. And at that burning bush, He talked to Moses and said, "I remember My promise, and I'm sending you down yonder, where you made a failure. I'm sending you right back to take up where you left off, but this time, it's going to be different." Moses, a coward, running from God…
Oh, sometime when you get in contact with God and have a conference with Him, and He touches you and brings down that sixth sense, that power, it makes you do things that the people think you're crazy.
Look what a difference. A coward running by—over behind the bushes to herd Jethro's sheep one day… He met God in a conference at the burning bush, and the next day, here he goes down to Egypt, an old man eighty years old, white hair and beard hanging over his face, his wife straddle of a mule with a kid on her hip, stick in his hand, the white beard a-growing… "Where you going Moses?"
"Going down to Egypt to take over." A one man invasion, but the thing of it is, he did it, because he'd had a conference with God. And he got a touch of something that was—changed his mind. He forgot his theology and took God at His Word. Said, "We're going down to take over."
60-0108 - Conference With God
Rev. William Marrion Branham COWARD CHURCH MEMBERS ARE LOOKING WHAT THEY CAN SEE WITH THEIR EYES INSTEAD OF WHAT GOD PROMISE 125 What we need in this hour is a man to challenge the promise of God before the people. God promised to pouring out of a Pentecostal blessing in the last days; I mean a real Pentecostal pour out. And it's time for it to come; another Kadesh-Barnea has arrived. Yes, sir.
They said, "We can well do it. Sure we can do it." What was it? Those cowardly church members was looking to what they could see with their eyes, but Caleb and Joshua was looking to God's promise. I don't care how much opposition they had; how big the giants looked; how big the fences looked; they were looking to God's promise.
Every man and woman tonight that wants to go on with God, don't pay any attention what the world says, whether we can or whether we can't; God promised it, and that settles it. God said so. I like that. When God says so, that settles it forever.
56-0527 - At Kadesh-Barnea
Rev. William Marrion Branham A COWARD PREACHER WHO AFRAID TO PREACH HIS CONVICTION I like anything that's brave. I hate a coward. I hate a man or… for a… See a man get in a pulpit and afraid to preach his convictions… Brother, I tell you, I'd say it if he shot me, just the same. I—I want… And go to an office, and somebody be healed by the power of God, and afraid to say something about it. Somebody say that they… "Yeah, I believe the Lord's a Healer," and then afraid to testify of it. Oh, brother. Ashamed of the Holy Ghost, God can't use you. God wants men of—of bravery. Amen. We are kin to the Lion, the Lion of the tribe of Juda. That's right. Sternness, firmness, bravery… Oh, how I could take on that Lion and leave my text here.
61-0122 - As The Eagle Stirs Her Nest
Rev. William Marrion Branham 29 Now, I believe that God is everywhere. And as I looked at the eagle, I thought, "Now, what would that old bird raise up there to stop me from shouting? And I happened to notice him, that one thing, he seemed like he wasn't afraid. That's one thing that's godly about him.
God don't want cowards. God wants men to be men, women to be women. He wants Christians to be Christians. Make your confession and stand there. That's the idea. Not scared to say this and scared to say that. Speak your convictions. Be what you are. That's what God wants you to do. Be what He wants you to be and don't be cowardly about it.
57-0323 - God In His Word
Rev. William Marrion Branham 39 The people say, "I have to do this to keep my standard with the people." You don't have to do it. It shows a shallowness. It shows a cowardliness. And a preacher that'll stand in the pulpit and compromise on the principles of Christ because some bunch of bishops dominate him and tell him, 'You have to do this, or we'll put you out of fellowship,' you're a coward. Stand there. Tell the truth, no matter what the price is.
Look at Stephen that morning, our little Holy Ghost brother, standing before the Sanhedrin cancel—Council. The 7th chapter of Acts, said, "You men of Israel, you that dwell in Judaea," and so forth, how "our fathers come up out of Mesopotamia," and so forth: begin to tell them. Then he got wound up, got started. The Holy Ghost come upon him. He said, he shined.
His face shined like an Angel. He said, "You stiffnecks, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always do resist the Holy Ghost. Like your fathers did, so do you." Whew. Hm. He knowed where he was standing. He knowed his position.
62-1123 - The Way Back
Rev. William Marrion Branham COWARDLY WILL MAKE YOU DENY CHRIST 140 Here was all of them standing out there, and a little old cowardly preacher by the name of Peter, the "little rock," had been so scared of his position till he denied Jesus, and run out and prayed through, and he had to be gathered with them. Stood up on a soapbox or something, said, "Why, you men of Judaea, you that dwell in Jerusalem…" That was Doctors, D.D.'s Oh, said, "You men that… and men of Israel, and dwellers in Jerusalem, and so forth, let this be known unto you. These are not drunk, as you suppose, seeing it's the third hour of the day. But this is that…"
If this ain't That, I want to keep this till That comes. That's one thing.
54-0330 - Redemption In Completeness, In Joy
Rev. William Marrion Branham A MAN WHO'S AFRAID TO TESTIFY OF CHRIST ON THE STREET 15 But I wouldn't; I admired him because he was brave. I do not like a coward. They come to church, act like a Christian, and go out on the streets, and not even testify of Jesus. Hear sinful man cursing and afraid to call them down. God can't use a man like that. He wants somebody that's brave.
55-0625 - Show Us The Father
Rev. William Marrion Branham 93 And I looked at him. I thought, "Well, God, could You be in that eagle?" I looked at him, and I thought, "Yes. You are, because he's not scared." That's one thing; he wasn't afraid. I said to him… And God don't want a coward. If you're ashamed to testify, don't go to the altar. You're ashamed to say, "By His stripes I'm healed." You're ashamed to say, "Yes, I received the Holy Ghost. Hallelujah." God wants to put a backbone, not a wishbone, in you, wants to make you somebody, give you a testimony.
61-0515 - A Greater Than Solomon Is Here
Rev. William Marrion Branham COWARD RUNNING AT EVERY LITTLE THING, AFRAID OF EVERY LITTLE SHADOW There is an old proverb that I like to quote once in a while, and that's this: "A coward dies ten thousand deaths, when a hero never dies." A coward, he's always scared. He's running at every little thing. As we would call it, in the hunter's language, he's spooked all the time. He's afraid of every little shadow.
12 That's the way with a man who comes and professes that he has faith and, spooked at every little scarecrow the devil can put before him. Oh, my, he thinks, "Oh, I—I'm not any better. I'm just don't feel as well as I did yesterday." What difference does it make? If you've got real faith in your heart that God's going to keep His Word, all the hurts, and aches, and pains, and shadows will not amount to anything. You believe it in your heart. It's yours, and there's nothing can take it away from you. It's yours; it's a gift that God has given you, the blessed assurance that what you asked for, He's able to perform it, because He's promised it. There's real faith.
58-0105 - Have Faith In God
Rev. William Marrion Branham A COWARD, AS SOON AS HE MAKE THE FIRST MISTAKE, HE'S AFRAID TO START AGAIN 147 But a man that's once knocked down, if he's a real soldier he'll rise up again. "Lord, let me rise and try it again." But a coward, as soon as he sees he makes his first little mistake, he's like I said this morning: the bug and the water spider will crawl right back in the water again. See? He just can't stand it.
So refuse all the old—that profane babbling and carrying on, talking. "Babbling" means "confusion." And the Bible said, "Mark those who cause contentions among you."
If somebody says, "Uh-huh, uh-huh." Now just—just say, "How do you do? I'm glad to see you again. Thank you." Just keep on going. That's the best thing. Don't shun them, but just mark them. Don't pay any attention, 'cause you see what it leads to.

Rev. William Marrion Branham
227 Lord bless you, Brother Graham, give you a great meetings. He don't know when he's going to close. He's just starting. And so, Brother Graham has had it like myself, many ups and downs. That's the way life runs. It makes you appreciate the ups after you went through the downs. If a man makes a drop and lays there, he's a coward. I got confidence when a man will rise and try again. That's right. I'm sure you can interpret what I mean. Now, don't forget it, this coming week.
57-0908E - Hebrews, Chapter Six #2
Rev. William Marrion Branham
39 The people say, "I have to do this to keep my standard with the people." You don't have to do it. It shows a shallowness. It shows a cowardliness. His face might not have shined like a light up there, but an Angel knows what He's doing. An Angel is a Messenger that's commissioned from God. He don't have to take down. He knows exactly. And them half a million howling wolves of clergy out there condemning that man for the way he was doing, and the sermons he was preaching, and Stephen stood there, and said, "You're uncircumcised of the heart and ears, and you resist the Holy Ghost like your fathers did. So are you doing the same thing." He was telling them the way back to the God that opened up the Red Sea, or tell them—to the God who rained the plagues down in Egypt.
